Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting the specified requirements, with the Town reserving the right to accept or reject any bids and to award on an all-or-none or line-by-line basis. Bid prices must remain valid for ninety days from the bid closing date.
The Liquidated Damages Form requires the contractor and contractor's surety to acknowledge that time is of the essence and to accept liability for liquidated damages at the rate specified in the attached Florida Department of Transportation schedule (paragraph 8-10). Damages accrue daily for each calendar day after the scheduled completion date, including any approved time extensions documented in written change orders, and continue to accumulate if the contractor is terminated for default prior to project completion.
