About this file

This document provides details for a federal construction contract opportunity for roadway resurfacing and parking area improvements within Yosemite National Park in California. The project includes resurfacing 12 miles of Tioga Pass Road, expanding and reconfiguring parking areas in Tuolumne Meadows and Tenaya Lake to improve safety, and repairs to the Tuolumne River Bridge. Estimated at between $25-35 million, the work involves asphalt paving, concrete curbs, aggregate bases, culverts, excavations, utilities, and sidewalks. The solicitation was issued by the Federal Highway Administration for an open competition, with the anticipated advertisement in July 2020 and construction from August 2020 to October 2022. The work requires experience on similar projects within national parks and attention to resource protection and visitor needs.
