MYR ATCT Parking Lot Refurbishment
1. Do you have any existing pictures of the two existing awnings at the EG Room and
Side Entry Door that are to be replaced? Also, what is the exterior wall material at these two openings?
Answer: No pictures are available. Exterior wall is EIFS over CMU. Aluminum wrapped P.T blocking may be present at canopy wall mounting. Field verify.
2. Do you have any As-Built Civil Site Drawings that can be provided for Bidding Purposes that provide elevations/dimensions?
Answer: No current, up to date, civil as-built drawings are available.
3. Within the Statement of Work - attachment 2 - Details, there is a reference to adding 12" and/or 24 "of compacted sub-grade? Will the existing adjacent elevations allow for this increase in height at these locations?
The Concrete Hardscape Detail indicates that the sub-grade should be scarified. I don't know if that is possible, given the small, narrow areas where the concrete work is located.
I would imagine that underneath the existing concrete sidewalks that get replaced, there is existing rock that was previously compacted. Are you expecting all the existing rock to be removed and replaced with new rock, or just proof rolled before the installation of the new concrete? Again, for this detail, I don't know how you could add an additional 24" of subgrade material here. This question also applies to the New Stone Paving Area. On the Asphalt New Pavement Detail, it identifies to Scarify and Proof Roll the subgrade...and shows adding 24" of compacted subgrade over the existing subgrade?
Answer: Per SOW: Part 5, Item b., existing asphalt to be removed and replaced at facility entrance includes 2” of new asphalt. Part 5, Item j., existing concrete sidewalk replacement includes 4” of concrete removal and replacement over existing compacted subgrade. Part 5, items c and k, new asphalt and concrete areas require excavation to accommodate new 4” compacted graded aggregate base course over compacted subgrade. Part 5, item i, remove vegetation and install 4” #57 stone over geotextile fabric directly over compacted subgrade.
4. Regarding the six (6) Exterior Fixtures that are to be replaced, please provide a Manufacturer and Model# or Equal.
Answer: Existing light fixture model unknown. New light fixture must be commercial grade LED wall pack lights. All lights fixtures must be provided by ISO certified manufacturers and comply with FCC Title 47 Part 15B class B for emission limits.
