TVKP Drydock 2025 Quesons & Answers
1) WI 210 – Please provide an esmated number of gallons to be removed for all tanks as only max capacity is provided and we must refill to original volumes as well as dispose of sewage water.
Total ballast expected: 23,396 gallons of fresh water. Total sewage expected: 1,000 gallons.
Expect 500 gallons of potable and 1000 gallons of wash water to also be discharged. Esmate 25,000 gallons of fuel will need to be stored as well as 500 gallons of lube oil and 500 gallons of hydraulic oil.
2) WI 307 – Are we providing an ORCA IIA-70 unit to replace the current one installed? Replacing the present system with a new ORCA IIA-70 unit is acceptable.
3) General – The owners specificaon and the Sherwin Williams Coangs Report are different from one another. Please advise which specificaon we should reference. Use the Owner’s Specificaon Statement of Work which is based on the SW Report.
4) WI 112 – Please advise how the yards are to price this item – are there quanes of the hazardous materials that require disposal? Disposal of asbestos vs bilge water will be vastly different in pricing. There are no known hazardous materials onboard to be disposed of, if found contractor can present CFR for removal.
5) WI 205 – Please provide the approximate lengths, material and thickness of the waster pieces that need to be hot-dip galvanized. Three steel waster pieces weighing approximately 15 pounds each.
6) WI 206 – #4 – heading says Stack, Work item references pilot house, can go with the writen descripon but need amount of breakdown by 2 or %. Remove B. which references the pilot house and all other references to the pilot house. See Revised SOW V13
7) WI 212 – Item states to remove 120 zincs but install 60 zincs in locaons where old zincs were removed. Please advise if it should be 120 zincs being installed. Esmate 120 removed and installed.

9) WI 216 – spec references Freeboard in para 5.D. Please advise. See Revised SOW V13
10) WI 228 – How much spot blasng? Coang system is not correct for a tank lining. Need clarificaon. See Revised SOW V13
11) General – In all items that require pricing it refers to Secon B – is that the Vendor Price Sheet?
If not, please provide Secon B. Yes, vendor price sheet
12) General – The Table of Contents at the beginning of the spec has a WI 309 with the same tle as
WI 228 – WI 309 was not provided, please advise if that was a typo or if we will be receiving a WI
309. There is no 309, it has been moved to 228.
13) WI 111 – Are the replacements of any inoperable light bulbs to be covered under a Condion Report? If not, please provide an esmated quanty to be priced along with the details of the bulbs (type, length, etc) Yes, put on CFR
14) WI 203 – Item calls for spot coats. Is the intent of this Item to perform spot work or full removal? If so, how much? The crossover pipe(12” dia) seems to be 11 feet long. Will this be spot work or full removal? Above statement of work is for WI 204. - Yes, spot coat, esmate 25% then, 1) APPLY ONE (1) SPOT COAT OF SEAGUARD® 6000, GRAY, AT 9.0 MILS WET TO GET
6.0 MILS DFT. 2) APPLY ONE (1) FULL COAT OF SEAGUARD® TIE COAT, GOLD, AT 9.5 MILS WET

16) WI 206.4 – The Owners supplied square footage is an esmated 750 sq. . In line B, it says the intent is to full overcoat the enre Wheelhouse including the Visor. Could the Owner supply a square footage for this work? Also, could they supply and amount of spot/ sweep work that is required? See Revised SOW V13
17) WI 211 – Is the intent to perform spot work or full removal on the Chains and Anchors? Is mud removal required in the Chain Lockers? If so, how much? All answered in spec, full removal of chains, anchors, and cleaning of chain locker. Esmate less than 10 gallons mud each.

22) WI 306 – Please provide further informaon on the removal of the winch – is it bolted, welded?
Will the foundaon be removed as well? The winch is bolted to the foundaon and the foundaon is welded to a doubler plate. We want to keep the foundaon. See revised SOW V13.
23) WI 307 – Please advise the length and type of reach rod required. Please advise the type and size of discharge piping as it’s not shown on the drawings provided. Is the exisng MSD bolted or welded to the foundaon? Are there currently pad eyes installed for removal? The MSD is bolted to its foundaon (picture atached). The discharge piping is 1 ½” piping. There is a gate valve, and a check valve before it reaches the sewage ovbd/header pipe. We want a minimum of schedule 80 steel pipe. There are a few rigging points for removal. There is an eye beam directly above it that they can use, but no welded pad eyes. The reach rod will have to be about 8’ long. A flexible reach rod that allows operaon of the valve without removal of the deck plates would be ideal. We want something that will bolt up to the valve wheel to allow for local operaon if needed.
