About this file
This is Amendment A001 to solicitation 69056724R000026 for pavement preservation work in New Mexico national parks, modifying the original bid schedule and technical requirements. The amendment adds new bid items for culvert work including removal of pipe culvert (2 each), 18-inch pipe culvert (180 linear feet), and end sections for 18-inch pipe culvert (3 each) at Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
The amendment revises completion dates and winter shutdown periods, requiring all work at CHCU to be completed by October 15, 2025 and instituting a winter shutdown from November 15, 2025 through March 1, 2026. Technical specifications are added for culvert materials, including requirements for polymer-coated corrugated steel pipe and coated galvanized flared end sections. The amendment includes new standard drawings for metal pipe culverts, coupling bands, bedding details, and end sections. Bidders are instructed to submit revised bid schedule pages A-7 through A-15 with their bids.

Should any mathematical check made by the Government show a mistake in the amount bid, the corrected unit price extension shall govern. When the word "LPSM" (Lump Sum) appears as a unit bid price, insert an amount for each lump sum pay item. When a sum based on a fixed rate appears for any pay item in the amount bid column, include the Government inserted amount bid for the item in the total bid amount. Total all of the amounts bid for each pay item and show the total bid amount.

When directed, camber pipe culverts upward from a chord through the inlet and outlet inverts an ordinate amount equal to 1% of the pipe length. Develop camber on a parabolic curve.
