It requires a permit request be submitted 48 hours in advance, lists affected work areas and necessary provisions including fire watches, and acknowledges compliance with OSHA, consensus standards and VA requirements.
The related federal solicitation is seeking construction services for site preparation and utilities installation for a pharmacy sterile compounding trailer at Building 164. The 100% small business set-aside contract valued under $250,000 is for the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 22. The response is due by August 15, 2020.
Both documents provide details to ensure contractor safety and regulatory compliance for hot work and construction activities at the VA medical center in Long Beach, California.
