About this file

This is an E-Signature Agreement established by the County of Bergen, New Jersey in conjunction with Bonfire e-procurement solution to enable electronic bidding and procurement processes across participating local units within Bergen County. The agreement authorizes vendors to create a single vendor profile usable by all local units in the county and permits the submission of bids, requests for proposals, and requests for quotations through electronic signatures. An authorized individual representing the vendor must execute the agreement by providing their signature, title, phone number, and email address. The electronic signature executed on this form serves as the official signature for all bid submissions and procurement documents submitted to participating local units, eliminating the need for separate signatures on individual procurement requests unless explicitly requested by a specific local unit.

The electronic signature affixed to this agreement remains valid for a term of one year from the date of execution. This agreement is based on legal authority granted under the E-Sign Act of 2000 and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), both of which authorize state and local government agencies to conduct official business electronically. The agreement requires that the signing individual possess both the intent and authority to conduct business on behalf of the vendor and that an affirmative signature be created to qualify as a valid electronic signature. The County of Bergen and participating local units are required to maintain records in compliance with applicable record-keeping regulations.
