About this file
This document is a Payment Bond for a Bridge Rail Unit Price Contract issued by the City of Fort Worth, Texas. The contract involves repair and replacement of bridge handrail, guardrail, and attenuators, with the primary purpose of establishing unit prices for municipal infrastructure work. The contract allows for potential renewal up to two additional terms, with a total contract duration not exceeding five years from the initial effective date. The City reserves the right to award a contract that may be less than the full bid amount, providing flexibility in project scope and budget allocation.
The payment bond ensures that the principal contractor will pay all monies owed to payment bond beneficiaries as defined by Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code. The bond is structured to protect the City of Fort Worth's interests by guaranteeing financial accountability for the bridge infrastructure project. While the specific contract budget is not explicitly stated, the document indicates that the project is designed to establish unit pricing for ongoing bridge repair and replacement work, allowing the city to manage infrastructure maintenance on an as-needed basis with predictable pricing mechanisms.
