About this file
This is a City of Fort Worth, Texas standard construction specification document for a Bridge Rail Unit Price Contract solicitation. The project involves repair and replacement of bridge handrail, guardrail, and attenuators, with the primary purpose of establishing unit pricing for these services. Electronic bids will be received via the Procurement Portal until 2:00 PM CST on Thursday, December 11, 2025, with a public bid opening immediately following. The contract allows for unit price-based work orders with a potential renewal for up to two additional terms, not to exceed five years from the initial effective date. A pre-bid web conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM, and interested bidders must indicate their intent to bid through the procurement portal.
The solicitation includes a 30% small business goal, with firms required to be certified by specific agencies and located within Denton, Parker, Wise, Tarrant, or Johnson counties. Bidders must submit a Small Business Utilization Form detailing their commitment to the goal, and failure to complete this form will result in the bid being considered non-responsive. The contract budget may be less than the total bid amount, and the City is not obligated to award the full bid amount. Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to 5% of their maximum bid price, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder based on price, qualifications, and competencies.
