About this file
This is a Schedule B submission requirements document for a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Alpine School District in Utah to supply Bernina sewing machines, sergers, and related equipment with extended warranty and service support. The RFP seeks a qualified vendor to supply new Bernina 335 Sewing machines and Bernina L850 Sergers along with parts and accessories, and to provide comprehensive service, repair, and training for both new and existing equipment throughout the school district. The proposal submission deadline is Monday, April 27th, 2026 at 2:00 PM Mountain Time, with electronic submission required through Utah Public Procurement Place (UPPP). It is anticipated that a single contract award will be made to the responsive and responsible vendor with the highest evaluation score. The resulting contract will have an initial term of one year with options to renew for up to four additional years, for a potential total contract duration of five years. Notably, Alpine School District will be reconfigured into three new districts (Aspen Peaks, Lake Mountain, and Timpanogos) effective July 1, 2027, and these successor districts will have the opportunity to adopt and extend the contract under the current terms.
The Schedule B document specifies detailed proposal submittal requirements rather than pricing terms or funding information. Vendors must demonstrate company background, profile with employee count and staff qualifications, and documented K-12 sales and service experience. Proposals must address the vendor's capability to supply parts and repair Bernina equipment, provide delivery and installation services including setup and packaging removal, offer online and in-person training on machine operation, provide preventative maintenance services, detail the five-year service agreement including coverage scope and response times, present trade-in values and processes for existing machines, identify available discounts on service and supplies with clear exclusions, and disclose any additional costs not included on the cost sheet. Vendors must also provide a minimum of three current references. The vendor must guarantee its pricing for one year, and vendors with operations based in Utah may receive preference consideration.
