About this file

This is a scoring sheet for a Request for Proposals issued by Salt Lake City Corporation for Event Equipment Rental Services under solicitation number SLCI26061. The City seeks qualified equipment rental vendors to provide event infrastructure and support equipment for multiple City events throughout the year, with selected offerors responsible for delivery, installation, maintenance, and removal of all rental items. The agreement must remain flexible to accommodate evolving event needs and varying annual schedules.

The evaluation framework allocates 70 percent of total points (525 of 750 possible points) to technical criteria and 30 percent (225 of 750 possible points) to cost evaluation. Technical scoring encompasses seven scoreable criteria weighted from 5 to 30 percent, including firm experience and qualifications, subcontracting disclosures, relevant customer experience, special skills, customer service approach, ability to provide flexible solutions and additional equipment, and provision of rental equipment lists per the Scope of Work. Four policy criteria addressing sustainability, disadvantaged business enterprise status, apprenticeships, and local small business consideration collectively represent five percent of total points. Proposals must achieve a minimum of 70 percent of technical points (367.5 points) to advance to cost evaluation. Cost points are calculated using a formula whereby the lowest-priced proposal receives 100 percent of cost points, and all other proposals receive points proportional to their cost relative to the lowest bid. A mandatory requirement exists for offerors to accept the City's ethics clause as outlined in Section VII of the RFP.
