About this file
This document provides details regarding a solicitation for the Clarksburg Courthouse Modernization Phase 1 Construction project. The General Services Administration is seeking a general contractor through a two-phase competitive proposal process to complete renovations at the Clarksburg Courthouse in West Virginia. Renovations include construction of a new courtroom, judge's elevator, and supporting clerk's office spaces. The project involves demolition, hazardous material abatement, fire protection work, and structural modifications to relocate columns and strengthen the building for seismic and blast requirements. Mechanical and electrical systems upgrades are also required. The estimated price range for the project is between $15-25 million. The technical submission deadline was extended to April 18, 2023, with price proposals to be requested later. The award will be determined by a tradeoff analysis of technical factors including experience, past performance, management plan, and subcontracting plan, which will be more important than price.
