About this file

This is a Tier II Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory report filed by the General Services Administration (GSA) for facility CMS (Facility ID: 9854) covering the reporting period January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. The facility is located at 7500 Security Blvd, Woodlawn, MD 21244 in Baltimore County and is subject to EPCRA Section 312 (Annual Inventory), Emergency Planning under Section 302 of EPCRA, and Section 112r of the Clean Air Act. The facility has a maximum occupancy of 1,300 persons and is classified under NAICS Code 921190 (all other general government support). The facility is manned and operates under the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Company (Baltimore County FD).

The inventory reports seven hazardous chemicals stored at the facility: 1,2-Ethylene Glycol (4,775 lbs maximum daily amount, stored in rooftop mechanical systems); Fuel Oil No. 2 (176,031 lbs maximum daily amount, stored in a below-ground tank by the north loading dock); Lead (90,602 lbs maximum daily amount, stored in plastic drums in the battery room); Petroleum Distillates (12,353 lbs maximum daily amount, stored in an above-ground tank in the elevator machinery room); Rock Salt (760,000 lbs maximum daily amount, stored in a salt dome); and Sulfuric Acid (9,594 lbs maximum daily amount, stored in plastic drums in the battery room). All chemicals are stored at ambient temperature and pressure conditions with the exception of Ethylene Glycol, which is stored at greater than ambient pressure. The report was certified by Ben Froebel, Facility Services Manager, on February 13, 2025, with emergency contacts including Gina Lambros (Operations Manager) and James Wack (Project Manager). A Facility Emergency Response Plan is attached as an optional document.
