About this file
This is a Claim of Business Confidentiality Form submitted in connection with an Alpine School District (Utah) Fire Alarm Services Request for Proposal. The RFP seeks a qualified vendor to supply parts, labor, and design services for retrofitting, replacing, repairing, or expanding existing fire alarm systems throughout the district. The contract resulting from this solicitation will have a maximum term of five years, with the solicitation number ASD02052026HM-A. The proposal closing date and time is Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM Mountain Time. The contract award will be made to the responsive and responsible offeror with the highest score as justified by the procurement code. Should Alpine School District be reconfigured—which is anticipated effective July 1, 2027, into three separate districts (Lake Mountain, Aspen Peaks, and Timpanogos School Districts)—the awarded vendor must honor the pricing and allow the newly formed districts to enter into agreements under the same terms and pricing for the same contract duration.
The confidentiality claim form allows vendors to protect specific business information submitted with their proposals, including non-public financial statements, employee names and contact information, customer information, client lists, and trade secrets as defined under Utah Code Annotated Section 13-24-2. Notably, pricing and cost proposals may not be classified as confidential and will be considered public information. The form requires vendors to specify which pages and paragraphs contain protected information and the reasons for the confidentiality claim, referencing either trade secret protection or commercial information that could result in unfair competitive injury if disclosed. Vendors will be notified if information claimed as protected is determined to be public or should be released after the governmental entity weighs interests under applicable Utah Code provisions.
