About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Alpine School District in Utah for fire alarm services. The District seeks a qualified vendor to supply parts, labor, and design services for retrofit, replacement, repair, and addition work to existing fire alarm systems across all district facilities. The RFP solicitation number is ASD02052026HM-A, and proposals must be submitted electronically through Utah Public Procurement Place (UPPP) by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The resulting contract will commence on March 1, 2026, and will be awarded to a single responsive and responsible offeror based on a two-stage evaluation process. The contract term is for one year guaranteed pricing with an option to continue for up to five years total. No specific site visits or bidders' conferences are mentioned in the RFP documentation.
Vendors must meet mandatory minimums including a minimum of five years in business, current business and state contractors licenses, proof of liability and workers compensation insurance, and completion of Schedules A, B, and C. The evaluation process employs a two-stage scoring system with Stage One criteria (Company History and Profile worth 250 points, Demonstrated Technical Capability and Expertise worth 300 points, and References worth 150 points) requiring a minimum threshold of 80 percent or 560 points to advance to Stage Two. Stage Two evaluation is based solely on cost (300 points), with the lowest bidder receiving full points and all other proposals receiving points calculated using a proportional formula. Vendors must guarantee pricing for one year and submit three minimum references. The contract may be canceled with thirty days' notice due to lack of funding or poor performance. In the event Alpine School District is reconfigured effective July 1, 2027, into three separate districts (Lake Mountain, Aspen Peaks, and Timpanogos), the awarded vendor must honor the original pricing and contract terms with any newly formed districts.
