About this file

This document is an Amendment/Modification of Contract for a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) solicitation for Life Safety Equipment/Systems Maintenance (Solicitation Number: 36S79725Q0005). The contract requires a contractor to provide inspection, testing, maintenance (ITM), and repair services for fire alarm detection systems, fire suppression systems, fixed chemical extinguishing systems, alarm devices, and monitoring components. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 15, 2025, at 8:00 AM CST, with a maximum of three company representatives allowed to attend.

Key service requirements include response times for service repair requests: 4-hour response during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM) and a 1-hour response for after-hours and emergency service requests. The local fire department will be the first responder to all fire alarm conditions, with the contractor contacted only if services and repairs are determined necessary. Interested parties must submit additional questions to Michelle Williams by October 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM CST. Questions

1. Has the facility considered if they need any related Panel or Programming work that would be proletary under JCI (Simplex)? We can offer those services, as well as inspection, which will reduce the cost of repairs and improve reliability in the fire alarm system performance. Answer: All related Fire Control Panel testing and programming if needed is to be performed on Notifier Fire Control Panels only, the testing and inspection requirements do not include Simplex panels.

1. Does the facility require day porter services to respond to alarm conditions that arise. Answer: The local fire department will be 1st responders to all fire alarm conditions. If it’s determined that services and repairs are needed, only then will the contractor be contacted for either emergency services or non-emergency services.

These are the requirements stated in the SOW (pg.10) for emergency response times and non-emergency response times.
