About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 36C78626R0104, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration, regarding the manufacture, supply, and distribution of flat bronze markers.
The Q&A clarifies key requirements for offerors responding to this recompete solicitation. Samples must be newly submitted and cannot be reused from previous solicitations, even if previously approved. Acceptable tolerances for marker overall length and width are plus or minus 1/8 inch from specified nominal dimensions. All markers, both samples and production units, must bear the marking "PROPERTY OF THE US GOVERNMENT" in 1/2-inch-tall letters, which must be permanently cast into the bronze as part of the manufacturing process; applied ink, engraving, or post-casting stamping methods are not acceptable. Contractors may handwrite their identifying information on the reverse of samples using a permanent marker. For submission requirements, Volume B pricing must be submitted as a completed Excel spreadsheet (Attachment 1) only, while Volumes A, C, and D should be submitted as separate PDF files.
