About this file

This is an addendum to a construction contract for the Oscar G Johnson VA Medical Center (VAMC) project 585-337 Expand Pharmacy and Radiology.

Scope Clarifications and Removals: Addendum Item 3.1 minimizes renovation work in the existing Pharmacy and Compounding Rooms by removing several previously planned modifications. The existing pneumatic tube system (SPS) docking station will remain in place, and no pass-through windows will be moved or added in the Compounding Rooms. Specific keyed notes have been removed from multiple drawing sheets (AD102K, A102K, A104K, A105K, A406K, and others) to reflect these scope reductions. All work in Room 2378 and Electrical Penthouse 3332 has been removed from the project scope. The entire west wall of Room 1233 will be finished drywall per specifications with no work on the east wall. Pass-through windows will not be moved or installed in Rooms 1233 and 1233A, and the High-Density Storage Unit has been removed.

Critical System Coordination and Electrical Revisions: Addendum Item 3.2 establishes mandatory coordination requirements for SPS, Pharmacy, and AHU-23 systems, requiring a minimum of 90 days advance notice for any shutdowns. SPS outage shall not exceed seven (7) days. Addendum Item 3.3 eliminates all work associated with Electrical Penthouse 3332, including the exterior transformer and related accessories. Penthouse 3334 will be supplied from the north substation in Room B269 with a 208V feed directly supplying Panel LMDP and a step-up transformer providing 480V power. Multiple electrical sheets (EZ102K, ED102K, EL104K, EP101K through EP105K, ES104K, E501K, and E604K) contain revisions and routing updates reflecting the revised power distribution design.

Addendum 03

Oscar G Johnson VAMC

Addendum 3

This addendum provides clarification and updates to the project scope involving the Pharmacy, Compounding Rooms, SPS, AHU-23, the associated electrical systems, and select rooms identified on project drawings. The revisions below formally document scope removals, limitations, and drawing updates.

Addendum Item No. 3.1 – Scope Clarifications and Drawing Revisions

Renovation work within the existing Pharmacy and Compounding Rooms will be minimized.

The existing pneumatic tube system docking station will remain in place, and no pass-through windows will be moved or added within the Compounding Rooms. No new drawings will be issued beyond the sheet changes identified below.

General Notes Added

• Downtime in SPS will be minimized. SPS outage shall not exceed seven (7) days and requires a minimum of ninety (90) days advance notice.

• All work associated with Electrical Penthouse 3332 has been removed from the project scope.

Addendum Item No. 3.2 – SPS, Pharmacy, and AHU-23 Coordination Requirements

Phasing and construction associated with SPS, the Pharmacy, and AHU-23 must be fully coordinated and approved before any work begins. A minimum of ninety (90) days advance notice is required for any shutdown impacting these systems. These areas are critical to facility operation and carry high-risk, high-cost implications if disrupted.

Addendum Item No. 3.3 – Electrical Service Revisions

Additional power service will not be added. Penthouse 3334 will be supplied from the north substation located in Room B269. A 208V feed will directly supply Panel LMDP, and a step-up transformer will provide 480V power to the necessary equipment.

All work associated with Electrical Penthouse 3332—including the exterior transformer and all related accessories—is eliminated from the project. Updated routing for revised power distribution is provided on the applicable drawings.
