UPDATED RESPONSE FROM 2/6/25:
“Estimated quantities for repair items are provided below. These quantities are NOT an allowance. The contractor is responsible for field verifying the quantity, prior to bid, and ensuring all the joints noted as requiring replacement on the drawings are included in their bid. Completing the estimated quantity of work does not release the contractor from completing replacement of all the sealant joints noted as requiring replacement on the drawings, even if the estimated quantity was not sufficient for completion of the work.”
Additional Information:
These quantities cannot be definitively (or finitely) defined as the conditions (quantities) for repair may change on a daily basis as the garage gets older. What we observed during the design phase may have changed for the repair categories/quantities a year later the VA cannot show specific areas/exact locations on the drawing. Any changes needed can be addressed to the Contracting Officer after the award is finalized.
