The document addresses four substantive clarifications provided by the government in response to contractor inquiries. Key clarifications include: (1) contractors may work on multiple phases provided work complies with normal working hours and after-hours/weekend requirements; (2) contractors are not responsible for providing UL fire-resistant joint systems at unforeseen or existing penetrations outside the intended scope of work; (3) the government intends for contractors to replace existing suspended acoustical ceiling tile and grid with new materials; and (4) Specification Section 13 05 41 Seismic Restraint Requirements are applicable and must be complied with despite Hot Springs being categorized as seismic design class B. These clarifications establish binding guidance for contractor performance under the solicitation.
