About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for a Department of Veterans Affairs contract opportunity (Solicitation Number 36C25926Q0166) to install humidification monitoring and control systems for a pharmacy cache at a VHA facility. The project is managed by the Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

The Q&A document addresses eight key inquiries from potential contractors regarding project specifications and site conditions. The facility uses a JCI Metasys Building Automation System (BAS), with Will Goodwin from JCI Sales identified as the point of contact. The project requires installation of steam piping and duct insulation per specifications, a new 120 VAC equipment circuit from electrical panel EQLP1 in room KP-105, new control wiring (not reuse of existing wiring), and detailed controls design work including sensors and actuators. Division 26 and Division 23 specifications are referenced for mechanical and control wiring requirements respectively. Control wiring diagrams and input/output point details are specified in Drawing 10.MH.104, Detail 3 (Jacketed Steam Humidifier Controls), with detailed design to be provided by the controls subcontractor. Six site photographs are included showing the work area from various angles (northwest, east, north, and northeast facing views) to assist contractors in assessing site conditions.
