Replace Canteen Dishwashing Utilities Site Visit 3
Q&A No. 1: Looking through the drawings provided for Building 86 they gave us the south side and it looks to me that we need the north side. Can the VA provide the north side that shows the canteen in question?
Answer No. 1: The canteen Washroom is located in the southwest corner of the main building. I will add drawing P-157 that shows all the plumbing in the crawlspace for the entire building.
Q&A No. 2: Can the new hand sink tie directly into the sewer line or is a floor sink required under it to allow a indirect drain in this area?
Answer No. 2: Yes, it can tie into the sewer line.
Q&A No. 3: Existing floor drain is installed through existing concrete reinforcing web in floor, is structural repair required during installation of new floor sink.
Answer No. 3: No
Q&A No. 4: Existing recirculation line ties in less than 10 feet from dishwasher location, existing line did not seem to be circulating hot enough water. Does more investigation need to be accomplished to verify existing recirculation line is functioning properly?
Answer No. 4: Yes
Q&A No. 5: Am unable to locate existing mixing valve on domestic hot water line to verify tie-in location of new hot water line to dishwasher, can this location be specified please?
Answer No. 5: The station is working to find a response to this question and shall, if discovered prior to solicitation due date, provide a response in an additional amendment.
Q&A No. 6: Can the VA confirm there is no electrical on this project.
Answer No. 6: There is no new electrical work on this project. The only electrical would be reconnecting the existing electrical to the new disposal.
