About this file
This is an amendment document providing responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) for a federal contract opportunity at the Saint Louis Veterans Medical Center.
Project and Solicitation Details:
Project 657-26-105, titled "Upgrade Interior Physical Security," is being solicited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA Heartland Network 15) under Solicitation Number 36C25526R0064. This amendment (Reference Amendment 36C25526R0064 0003) represents the VA's responses to RFIs #2 of 3 submitted by prospective contractors, dated March 5, 2026.
Key Technical Requirements Clarified:
The amendment addresses security and locking system specifications for two VA locations. For Building 75 at the JB location, contractors must install a minimum of 7 cameras to cover all exits/entrances and ensure complete coverage of switchgear rooms 100, 101, and 102, along with a minimum of 3 motion detectors providing equivalent coverage. Security cable installation must use conduit where accessible and allow open wiring in rings above drop ceilings in office areas. For lockset requirements, the VA confirmed that the JC location uses Corbin Russwin locksets with LFIC cores while the JB location uses Sargent locksets with LFIC cores; the VA Lockshop will supply 3,200 cylinders upon contract award with no replacement door hardware or cylinder housings required. Additionally, the amendment clarifies that the XT Self Hosted Enterprise Level TRM Approved Software specification should be updated from Part #SW-600901-1 to Part #SW-600901-2 to provide IKC support capability with the required IKC Key Cabinets. The document was signed by Gislaine Dorvil, Contracting Officer.
