STATEMENT OF WORK

Prepared by:

Facility Management Division

PROJECT NO: 695-17-108

PROJECT NAME: Install Environmental Monitoring Systems in Sterile and Clean Supply Rooms

I. General Description:

Provide Construction Services for Project#: 695-17-123 ‘Install Environmental Monitoring Systems in Sterile and Clean Supply Rooms.’

Building 102 functions to provide sterile processing services (SPS) for the main hospital.

The second floor of the building acts as non-sterile storage, served by a water-cooled air handler (AHU-135-2). The majority of the building is served by a water-cooled air handler (AHU-135-1) that is currently undersized. This project shall replace AHU-135-2 with a larger air-cooled rooftop unit (RTU). Additional controls, dampers, and ductwork shall be installed to allow the new RTU to provide supplemental cooling to AHU-135-1 in times the demand is not met. To accommodate the new larger unit, the building’s transformer shall be replaced with a larger transformer, and an additional switchboard shall be added. Due to the criticality of the building processes, outage times for transformer and AHU135-2 switchovers must be minimized.
