About this file
This document includes a Request for Information (RFI) and responses related to an upgrade project at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center in Michigan. The RFI solicits information on desired top treatments for roller shades and clarification on conflicting fabric and style listings in project drawings and schedules. It also seeks confirmation that Draper and Mecho are acceptable shade manufacturers and that all shades are double roller with blackout and 3% open shades. Additionally, it inquires about the intended purpose of roller shade tags notated in room drawings but absent from finish schedules. The response provides specifications for painted metal fascia roller shades and manufacturers listed as design basis. It also states all shades are double with blackout and 3" open components and clarifies the tags in question referred to new wall construction, not window treatments.

REPLY NEEDED BY:
INFORMATION NEEDED:
· What is the desired top treatment for the roller shades?
· Finish key (sheet ID100) and Equipment Schedule (sheet A1400) have conflicting fabrics/styles listed. Should we assume Draper or Mecho are acceptable and all shades are double roller with a blackout shade and a 3% shade? Rooms A104 and A106 have roller shade “1” tag on drawings (sheet ID101) but these rooms are not included in the Finish Schedule (sheet ID100). Was this “1” tag intended to indicate the new wall construction?
REPLY:
· Painted metal fascia for roller shades.
· Manufacturers are listed solely as basis of design. All roller shades are to be double with a blackout shade and a 3” open shade. Disregard tag “1” in rooms A104 and A106 as those are an existing audio booth and control room with no access to the exterior windows.
