Each pair of eyeglasses will have a notation on the packing slip that accompanies each shipped pair of eyeglasses. It will be initialed by the final inspector, noting that the eyeglasses received a final quality inspection. The final inspector will complete a checklist in the computer system that will enable tracking of who inspected the glasses, the date of inspection, and the patient. The documented final inspection check of each pair of eyeglasses will ensure that each pair meets ANSI standards, is well assembled, and is ready to be worn, barring any adjustments the Veteran may need to improve comfort.
