About this file
This document is an addendum (Addenda 2) to a roofing preparation specification for a roof replacement project at multiple buildings. The specification covers detailed requirements for removing existing roofing systems across Buildings 4 and 90, which have varying roof compositions including Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) membranes, asphalt shingles, and modified bitumen roofing. The project involves complete roof removal down to the structural deck, with specific instructions for different deck types including lightweight concrete, steel decking, and tongue-and-groove wood plank decks. Key requirements include moisture testing, deck preparation, base flashing removal, and careful demolition to minimize disruption to building operations, with provisions for potential asbestos abatement and unit price adjustments for unexpected damage or replacement needs.
