About this file
This document is an Addendum 2 to Section 01 22 13 for Unit Prices and Allowances related to a roof replacement project. The document outlines specific unit pricing and allowances for various repair and replacement activities during roof renovation, including wood blocking replacement, supplemental wood deck fastening, damaged wood plank deck repairs, and lightweight concrete fill repairs. The contract includes predefined allowances for each unit price category, such as 1,000 board feet of wood blocking replacement, 250 side lap screws, 500 board feet of tongue-and-groove wood plank deck replacement, and 15,000 square feet of potential asbestos abatement.
The unit prices cover scenarios like replacing damaged wood blocking, adding supplemental fasteners to tongue-and-groove wood planks, repairing or replacing deteriorated deck planks, and addressing lightweight concrete fill damage in areas of varying sizes. The document specifies detailed technical requirements for each repair type, including fastening methods, extent of replacement, and submission of technical data. The contractor is required to include these allowances in the base bid, with the option for the owner to exercise unit prices beyond the initial allowance, which will include overhead and profit.
