This solicitation is for the installation of a 1000 KW diesel generator, Tier 4 engine, associated switchgear and electrical work, fuel tank, and monitoring systems at a Department of Veterans Affairs facility. Key aspects include installing a new generator on grade with a 96-hour fuel tank in a weatherproof enclosure, upgrading the switchgear building, addressing lead paint, and providing temporary power from ConEd during construction. Submittals and long-lead equipment procurement will need to occur expeditiously to minimize downtime. This requirement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The pre-bid site visit will take place on August 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM EST.
