The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate the following:

1) Answers to address the RFI's.

2) Spec 07 44 00

3) Site Visit 1 Roster

4) Site Visit 2 Roster

5) Due date remains 8/6/2019 at 2:00PM EST.

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Edward Roy Contracting Officer

CONTINUATION PAGE

1) Does this job include work to be performed during Off Hours for CCTV and Access Control?

All noisy work must be performed off hours but non-noisy CCTV and Access Control work can happen anytime – on or off hours. However, regardless of time remaining devices in operational areas must remain operational during this project. Short shutdowns must be coordinated in advance with the COR.

2) What time is considered to be Off Hours?

Monday thru Friday 6pm to 6am and Saturday and Sunday all day

3) Is there a designated area for Contractors Parking?

GC will have 5 parking passes for vehicles to park close to job site otherwise all contractor parking will be at lower lots and shuttle or walk to project site.

4) Do any of the exterior rails, bollards, or lintels require field painting? It is unclear if they will all receive Colorgalv shop finish. Please advise.

All exterior railings and other exposed exterior steel should be color galvanized Colorgalv 10 per spec 050513.

Lintels are to be galvanized with Duragalv per specs 050513 and then field painted. The infill roof railing and stair are to be Duragalv per specs 050513 with no field painting required.

Bollards are called out to be painted, not galv. In the specs (055000 bollard are called out to be “yellow”).

5) There is no exterior paint systems in Section 099100 for painting of exterior Cementitious trim. Please provide if required.

See provided new specification section 07 44 00.

6) There is reference on the plans to use intumescent paint on the exposed steel at the loading dock. If so please provide a specification or clarification the intended finish.

Note on AS-404 requiring intumescent paint is erroneous – there is no requirement for intumescent paint on structural steel in this project.

7) Please provide a specification for the cementitious trim at new work and confirm whether this is field painted.

See provided new specification section 07 44 00.

8) Rooms 1119 and 1320 are called out to AT-1 Ceilings per the finish Schedule. The reflected ceiling plan shows them to have GWB. Please clarify

1119 is to have GWB but 1320 is AT-1.

9) Where is the “Spray Applied Fireproofing” required.

The two infill locations require Spray Applied Fireproofing at all deck, column, and framing locations to achieve a 2-hour fire rating. The fire proofing spec 078100 details that mineral fiber material can be used where the fireproofing will not be exposed otherwise use cementitious fireproofing as detailed in same spec.

10) Wall Section 4, on sheet 1-AS-311 has a note “(N) Closed Cell Spray Foam at Bottom of T&G Deck”. Please provide a specification, and what thickness is required for the spray foam insulation.

References to spray foam throughout architectural drawings are incorrect and should be Mineral Wool to achieve an R38 rating. Additionally, locations that call for Mineral Wool on drawings are also to meet the R38 rating. Manufacturer with product equivalent to Rock Wool Semi-Rigid Batt Insulation is required.

11) There is no direction whatsoever as to which switch controls which light. The individual rooms could be figured out but the common areas is anyone's guess. Also there is a lighting control panel detail shown on 1-ES-700 that is not referenced by the other plans and the room labels in the detail don't line up to the plan.

Lighting systems controlled by addressable modules and central control panel are a preferred substitution.

On drawing ES-700 there is a lighting relay cabinet that identifies the switches and area of service but it is incorrect – see below table for correct locations. This coordinates with the lighting control panels on drawing ES-701. The switches shown on the lighting relay cabinet are to be located at the entrances to those spaces as outlined in the cabinet service column (table below) and where confusion remains COR will locate during construction.

There is also no detail on what type of room controller and/or emergency lighting relay should be utilized.

See ES-800 Emergency Bypass Relay Detail but is required to be UL Listed 820.

12) Bid Form lists Alternate #5 as a deduct to “remove all PWC-1a from the project.

Specifications indicate Alternate #5 as a deduct to “Remove all RWC-1a from the project. Which is correct?

RWC-1a is correct.

13) Bid Form lists Alternate #9 to deduct ballistic glazing and ballistic wall panels.

Specifications do not have a Alternate #9. Please clarify.

Bid Alternate #9 should be removed as a bid alternate and included in base project.

14) Please clarify the scope of the North Wing Deduct – Alternate. Is the North Wing Deduct

– Alternate to include only Rooms 1301 thru 1320, and not Rooms 1239, 1300, 1238 and 1237. Or does the deduct alternate include all of the rooms as shown in plan 3, on sheet 1-AS-112?

There are three different deduct situations for the North Wing.

If you look at AG-101 – it shows the limits of the North Wing. The limits of the North Wing for deduct purposes and Phase 3 are not the same. The main corridor area of Phase 3 is in the base contract and is not part of any deduct. Ie. if the North Wing is deducted then 1239, 1300, 1238, and 1237, etc from phase 3 would remain in Phase 3.

The three deduct possibilities include all and only the entire North Wing as outlined on AG-101 and AS-112. The differences in the deducts is the level of work. In Deduct Alternate 1 for Full Scope remove everything for the entire North Wing space. In Deduct Alternate 2 remove the AHU replacement and associated mechanical upgrades and the renovations to the two bathrooms 1307 and 1308 but keep all the finish upgrades including ceilings, flooring and paint, demolition of millwork and plumbing, and asbestos abatement in the entire wing. Deduct Alternate 3 deducts everything except for new paint (layers as detailed in painting spec) in every room and corridor of the North Wing.

15) What material is Window Type W03?

Frame material is Aluminum with thermal break and with Glass Type GL-A.

16) I cannot find specifications for the “Specialty Equipment” to be provided by the contractor. Per the Specialty Equipment Schedule on the drawings, the Contractor is required to “Supply and Install” the following Equipment. Please provide specifications and model numbers for the equipment required.

17) In specification section 111300 Loading dock equipment, there is reference to a scissor lift. There is no reference to it on the drawing. Please clarify.

Eliminate from spec section 111300 the scissor lift, bollards, and dock seals but dock bumpers remain in contract.

18) On Drawing AS 401 to 403, there is a patient lift to be furnished and installed by the contractor. There is no specification for that item. Please provide.

19) Please identify who the manufacturer is for the existing security control system onsite.

The Software is CCure 9000. All components must integrate with this system per all spec sections. However, the particular devices are from different manufacturers and we have different manufacturer devices on campus for the cameras, PACS components, and NVR.
