EMR/HIS Context Launch 13 IntelliSpace Cardiovascular EMR/HIS Context Launch The IntelliSpace Cardiovascular EMR/HIS interface option facilitate the patient centric or procedure centric launch into IntelliSpace Cardiovascular from certain electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Launching into the Workspace can be done in the patient centric view in patient context or procedure context as well as directly into the imaging workflow environment in procedure context. The technical implementation of the interface requires customization of the EMR/HIS system. Implementation and set-up information is available on request. Deploying IntelliSpace Cardiovascular as a component of an institution’s EMR solution provides clinical users with improved workflow and enhanced patient care delivery by accessing patient exams directly on IntelliSpace Cardiovascular from within the EMR/HIS application. The corresponding IntelliSpace Cardiovascular review or reporting application will launch when the exam is selected in the EMR/HIS.
NOTES:
• Users accessing IntelliSpace Cardiovascular from within the EMR/HIS will require IntelliSpace Cardiovascular concurrent user licenses. It is strongly recommended that local utilization patterns, including peak loads, are taken into careful consideration when determining the proper amount of IntelliSpace Cardiovascular concurrent user licenses needed.

Patient Allergies Update 114 The Patient Allergies Update interface allows IntelliSpace Cardiovascular to receive and display patients’ allergies in the cardiology timeline. The information is received from compatible Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR), via through patient or order messages (HL7 ADT or ORM).
This option requires the HL7 Inbound ADT Interface and/or the HL7 Inbound Orders Interface.
3rd P. Study Timeline IF 115 IMPORTANT: You can only quote a 3rd Party Study Timeline interface, if your counterpart in the market from Customer Operations has reviewed and approved the customer requested workflow to quote the validated 3rd party system interface.
The 3rd party Interoperability capability of IntelliSpace Cardiovascular supports the processing of (HL7) Study Notification messages or register studies via DICOM C-Find query from a 3rd party system to populate correlated cardiovascular studies (from the 3rd party) onto the cardiology timeline and to facilitate the launching of these studies from within IntelliSpace Cardiovascular with or without the WebAPI. Refer to the HL7 Interface definitions for IntelliSpace Cardiovascular for detailed info and examples of the (HL7) Study Notification.
Two methods of (integrated) 3rd party PACS viewing are supported (such dependent of the interface capabilities of the 3rd party PACS)
• Integrated Web viewing: 3rd party PACS provides a URL construct in the Study Notification message to launch the related study using the 3rd party PACS Web viewing capability.
• Integrated (DICOM) Viewing of IntelliSpace Cardiovascular: 3rd party PACS provides a (DICOM) Study UID of the related study, which allows IntelliSpace Cardiovascular to make these images available via the Image Viewer Applet if the 3rd party PACS allows query and retrieve (DICOM Q/R) of these images and/or the report if included in the study.
3rd P. Report Timeline IF 116 IMPORTANT: You can only quote a 3rd Party Report Timeline interface, if your counterpart in the market from Customer Operations has reviewed and approved the customer requested workflow to quote the validated 3rd party system interface.

export of clinical reports to an external CIS or clinical repository via HL7 messages. The exported clinical reports have a consistent appearance to those displayed on the Xcelera/IntelliSpace Cardiovascular ultrasound review application. Reference data is encoded into the HL7 (based) result message so that the CIS or clinical repository can compose a URL type (Web) message or an UNC type (shared file directory) message from this data.
• Formatted Echo Results (UNC); An HL7 (ORU) results message containing a UNC reference which can be applied by a compatible 3rd party system to retrieve a copy of the complete clinical report in PDF format directly from Xcelera/IntelliSpace Cardiovascular.
The interface provides the distribution of echo clinical reports to the enterprise, such as an electronic medical record (EMR) or hospital information system (HIS). Additionally, the Formatted Echo Results interface optimizes utilization of the Xcelera/IntelliSpace Cardiovascular system by enhancing clinical information sharing across the healthcare enterprise.
Interface with XperIM R2.X (ICL interface)
The Philips Xper IM Cath Lab Management System interface option facilitates patient-centric launch from IntelliSpace Cardiovascular into the Philips Xper IM cath lab management system via the 3rd party API.
Additionally, the interface facilitates the storage of cath lab procedural documentation on the IntelliSpace Cardiovascular server for access across the enterprise.
The XperIM R2.1 interface option also includes the corresponding (HL7) interface;
• HL7 Orders Forwarding so that (cath) orders for IntelliSpace Cardiovascular will also be forwarded to XperIM/XperConnect. It also enable the ability to sync a procedure on the cardiology timeline with the information that is distributed by XperIM/XperConnect when the related (cath) report has been finalized.
For Intellispace Cardiovascular and XperIM to effectively support (Cath) unscheduled workflow, it is essential to include the correct DICOM MPPS option of the corresponding cardiovascular modality/modalities in the Customer order.

ISCV Study Notification IF Impl Services
IntelliBridge Enterprise ISCV: Study Notify Implementation
Overview
This service provides implementation of the interfaces necessary for the Outbound Study Notify interface. In the DICOM information model, a study can have many series, and a series can have many images. A study is uniquely identified by its StudyInstanceUID (SUID). Some modalities can send images in 2 different modes:
1) Regular or non-trickle mode: In this mode, the modality is configured not to send any images until the entire study is complete. As a result, there should be only one Study Receive Notification [SRN] generated for each study. As documented in IntelliBridge Enterprise Interface Specifications, the SRN will contain, among other things, the patient name, MRN, modality type, and the SUID.
2) Streaming or trickle mode: In this mode, the modality is configured to send images immediately. It appears that an entry is created in the _Study_Availability_Notification table, when the first image is completed. The IntelliBridge Enterprise, on a regular basis queries this table. For every entry in this table it would create an SRN, and then clear that entry from the table after the SRN is generated. It is observed that if the images were coming over to IntelliSpace Cardiovascular fast enough (timing), there would be only one SRN generated. It is speculated that this happens due to these images producing the same entry in the availability table. Otherwise, there might be multiple SCNs generated for the same study.
From the workflow perspective, upon receiving the SRN, the receiving system should: 1) filter out and process the SRN message depending on the modality type and 2) always process the SRN based on the assumption that there might be multiple SRNs for the same study.
Engagement Deliverables
• Installation of the IntelliBridge Enterprise Study Notification interface
