About this file
This document is an RFP (Request for Proposal) issued by the state of Oregon for Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) equipment. The RFP outlines the desired technical specifications for the WIM system, including sensors, cameras, and controller features. The state is seeking proposals for a mainline WIM system and a ramp WIM system that meet or exceed the listed requirements. Proposers must provide details on sensor and camera equipment, system operations, accuracy, and other advanced capabilities. Points will be awarded based on how well the proposer's response aligns with the desired technical specifications. The RFP also provides details on the preferred cabinet assembly for housing the WIM system components.
The RFP does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, or funding sources. However, it does state that proposers must provide pricing information for any optional or desired technical specifications offered. The contract term and renewal options are also not provided in this document. Overall, this RFP focuses on the technical requirements and evaluation criteria for the WIM equipment procurement by the state of Oregon.

RFP 34366 – Weigh-In-Motion Equipment Att I
ATTACHMENT I – DESIRED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The Desired Technical Specifications include features or functions, which will further improve and enhance the level of quality, service and support of the weigh-in-motion solution. Responses to Desired Technical Specifications are optional; however, points will be awarded based on how well the Proposer’s response complies with each Desired Technical Specification and its value to the State, including any related costs. If a Proposer chooses not to reply to a Desired Technical Specification, the total point score will be less than a Proposer that is able to deliver every Desired Technical Specification. Responses may be in written narrative form, or may reference other documentation included in the Proposal, or a combination of the two. For any Desired Technical Specifications offered, Proposers should also provide information, including cost if any, in the appropriate section on the Pricing Proposal.
SECTION 1: Sensors and Cameras for the WIM System It is desirable that the Proposer provide a list of all sensor and camera equipment able to be provided upon Award that are compatible with the proposed Mainline WIM controller and Ramp WIM controller. Proposers shall include the component manufacturer’s name, model numbers, specification sheets, warranties, installation kit components, and other descriptive literature of materials able to be supplied. The catalog sheets and literature must include technical data, physical properties, and operational description in sufficient detail to demonstrate the equipment specifications.
