About this file
This is an entry authorization notice issued by the City of Olathe, Kansas, for the Building Demolition and Site Restoration Project Phase 2 (Project Number 3-C-025-18). The project involves the demolition of multiple buildings and site restoration near Santa Fe Street and I-35 in Olathe, Kansas. Bidders are permitted to view the buildings on Friday, December 19, 2025, beginning at 8:30 A.M., with the site visit commencing at the 220 N Rogers property. Access to the 1985 E Santa Fe Street building will not be available during this entry period. All individuals entering any buildings must sign a liability waiver prior to entry. The City will attempt to modify scheduling if inclement weather occurs, with any updates posted to the Bonfire procurement platform.
The notice emphasizes that entry to the buildings is restricted and available only on the specified date and time. This site visit is critical for prospective bidders to assess the condition of structures marked for demolition, as the project involves asbestos abatement, utility disconnection and capping, foundation removal, and comprehensive site restoration including grading and seeding. The waiver requirement underscores the liability considerations associated with accessing buildings scheduled for demolition.
