About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for Salt Lake City Corporation's Department of Public Utilities (SLCDPU) soliciting a consultant to lead stakeholder and public engagement for the update to Salt Lake City's Watershed Management Plan. The selected consultant will develop and implement a comprehensive public engagement strategy that includes creating and maintaining a project website, managing a stakeholder distribution list, developing a social media campaign, producing outreach materials, organizing and facilitating public open houses (either in-person or virtual as directed by SLCDPU), conducting community council meetings, and other targeted outreach activities. The consultant will compile, summarize, and report on all public input received throughout the planning process. All deliverables must comply with Salt Lake City communication standards, including accessibility and branding guidelines. The consultant will meet with key SLCDPU project staff approximately every other week throughout the planning process, during which the department will review progress, provide feedback, and assist with the development of outreach plan recommendations.
The scope of work references several foundational planning documents including the 1999 and 1989 Salt Lake City Watershed Management Plans, the 2015 Salt Lake County Water Quality Stewardship Plan, the 2003 Wasatch-Cache Revised Forest Plan, the 2017 Salt Lake City Community Wildfire Prevention Plan, and the Mountain Accord. The final scope of services and associated pricing terms will be negotiated with the selected consultant. No specific contract term, renewal options, pricing information, or award dates are specified in this scope of work document.
