About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 28777 issued by the Town of Waterford, Connecticut, seeking Fire Apparatus/Emergency Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Services for its Fire Department. The solicitation, designated as RFP#24-022, invites proposals from all vendors between March 13, 2025, and April 10, 2025, with a vendor Q&A period from March 17, 2025, to April 3, 2025. The town aims to select a qualified vendor capable of providing comprehensive repairs and maintenance services for its emergency vehicle fleet, with the unique provision that other Connecticut fire departments may also utilize this contract. Proposals must be submitted through the town's e-Procurement Portal, with the intent to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder who can effectively meet the specified service requirements.
The RFP does not specify a precise estimated total value or budget range, and payment terms are to be vendor-specified with delivery conditions set as Free On Board Destination. No specific set-asides for disadvantaged or minority-owned businesses are mentioned, and the solicitation appears open to a broad range of vendors. The contract's flexible approach suggests the town is prioritizing comprehensive service capabilities over restrictive vendor qualifications. The primary contact for this RFP is Brandishea Davy, who can be reached at 860-444-5842 or bdavy@waterfordct.org. While the document does not detail specific evaluation criteria beyond seeking a "responsive and responsible bidder," it implies that vendors will be assessed on their ability to meet the maintenance and repair needs of the Waterford Fire Department's emergency vehicle fleet.
