About this file

This is a specifications document (Exhibit B-1) for a forklift solicitation covering Washington and Oregon states. The document outlines detailed specifications for nine categories of forklifts: Electric Motor Rider, Electric Motor Narrow Aisle, Electric Motor Narrow Aisle Walkie, Electric Motor Hand, Internal Combustion Engine Cushion Tire, Internal Combustion Engine Pneumatic Tire, Heavy Duty Internal Combustion Engine Pneumatic Tire, Rough Terrain, and Telehandler forklifts. The specifications include requirements for preventative maintenance services for both electric and LPG-powered equipment, with bidders required to provide maintenance twice annually at least 120 days apart. Vendors must provide repair services within two business days of callout, prepare work reports within 15 days, and include operator training and manuals with deliveries.

The document includes pass/fail specifications that are mandatory minimum requirements for all categories, with detailed technical specifications for each forklift type including capacity, power source, mast specifications, dimensions, and required safety features. Bidders must respond to all specifications in their chosen categories, with any "No" responses resulting in disqualification. The document requires vendors to use the DES Contract Automobile Request System (CARS) for orders, with 5-day response requirements for order acknowledgment and information updates. No pricing information or set-aside requirements are included in this specifications document.
