About this file
This document is an Exhibit detailing a window replacement project for St. Johns County, Florida, funded through the United States Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. The project involves replacing existing single-hung, single-pane, bronze-colored aluminum windows at the W.E. Harris Center located in Hastings, FL with new energy-efficient, aluminum storefront windows in bronze color. The total grant funding for the project is $275,490.00, and the work is to be completed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM). The contractor will be responsible for complete turnkey window replacement, including permitting, labor, materials, removal and disposal of existing windows, proper sealing, and touch-up painting.
The project is entirely grant-funded, with the county reserving the right to add or delete windows throughout the contract duration using pre-established unit pricing via a Change Order process. The basis of design references the Kawaneer Company, Inc. TriFab 450 Aluminum Store Front & Entry System, though alternative manufacturers may be considered if they meet specified conditions. The contractor must field verify measurements before bidding and will be solely responsible for proper window fitment. The project emphasizes energy efficiency and compliance with all applicable building codes, with the potential for flexibility in window manufacturer selection pending Department of Energy approval.
