About this file
This document is Addendum No. 3 for the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Procurement Services, addressing a solicitation for School Track Field and Associated Improvements. The project involves track and turf replacement at multiple school locations, with a tentative start date of May 15, 2026, and completion date of August 1, 2026. The scope includes resurfacing and refreshing track surfaces at several schools, including Best, South Atlanta, Carver, Douglass, and Henderson Stadium. Only one site visit was previously offered at Eddie Henderson Stadium, and the awarded firm will be allowed to visit all locations afterward. The addendum provides clarification on various aspects of the project through a series of questions and answers from potential bidders.
The estimated project budget ranges from $6,000,000 to $7,000,000, with specific requirements including the use of Beynon track surfaces (no substitutes accepted). Local businesses seeking preferential consideration must submit Occupational Tax Registration Certificates from Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, or Gwinnett counties, or cities within the five-county metro area. The solicitation specifies no additional surveys or permits are required, and existing conditions of the track surfaces are somewhat uncertain. The addendum notes that the track surfaces at the various schools were originally installed between 6/2016 and 8/2017, indicating they are approximately 7-9 years old at the time of this solicitation.
