About this file

This is a Statement of Work for building paint and flooring repairs at MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

The contractor must provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision to prep, paint, and replace flooring systems in Buildings HP51, HP53, HP55, and HP57 located at Hadnot Point on Main Side MCB Camp Lejeune. Paint work includes interior and exterior surfaces—walls, doors, door frames, and window frames—with surface preparation including crack and hole repair, mold/mildew treatment, and caulking replacement. Priming requirements specify latex KILZ 2 or equivalent for most repaired surfaces. Finish coats vary by surface type: metal surfaces require two coats of latex direct-to-metal semi-gloss; interior walls require two coats of eggshell/satin latex; wood trim and doors require two coats of semi-gloss latex; exterior masonry requires two coats of Loxon masonry coating or equivalent; EFIS finishes require two coats of semi-gloss latex; high bay areas require two coats of high-gloss coating; and bathroom areas require KILZ 2 primer and two coats of mildew-resistant semi-gloss latex. Additional requirements include removing and reinstalling electrical/data covers, spray painting electrical and access panels, stenciling piping markings, repainting signage, and protecting furniture with storage containers as needed. Special scheduling is required with approximately one-quarter of work areas available at any given time.

Flooring work requires removing existing flooring from sleeping rooms and installing new LVT flooring; removing all flooring from shared/common spaces and lounges and installing epoxy resinous flooring including stair treads; removing office space flooring in HP55 and HP57 and installing LVT to match sleeping rooms. All flooring surfaces must be free of previous adhesives, and LVT surfaces must be sealed with Ardex floor sealer or equivalent prior to installation. All existing transition strips and rubber cove base must be removed and replaced. The contractor must submit manufacturer's product specifications and technical data for all materials and must coordinate building access through Brian Tatum at 228-209-6674. Hazardous materials requirements include submitting a hazardous materials plan for lead work, with the intent to scrape and encapsulate rather than abate lead paint. Asbestos-containing material data is provided in attached ACM reports.
