The magnitude of the VA project is between $10 million and $20 million. The NAICS code is 236220 for commercial and institutional building construction. As a set-aside for verified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, the procurement uses a tiered evaluation process down to the large business tier. The technical specifications cover commissioning requirements for the fire suppression system, including pre-functional checklists, contractor tests, and systems functional performance testing to be witnessed by the commissioning agent.
