About this file
This is an Organizational Chart Attachment (Attachment B1) for a Request for Proposals issued by the City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement on behalf of the Detroit Demolition Department for Design Build Service construction work at firehouse locations throughout Detroit, Michigan. The attachment establishes requirements for respondents to submit organizational charts in portable document format (.pdf) that clearly depict the business structure of the office or unit that will provide services under the contract. Respondents with multiple regional offices need only submit organizational charts for the specific office location(s) expected to perform work on this engagement. The contract is anticipated to have a two-year term.
The attachment requires respondents to clearly identify all vacant or unstaffed positions within their organizational structure. When multiple positions share identical job titles, respondents may consolidate these positions by listing the title and total number of positions rather than naming individual staff members, provided they specify the number of vacant positions within that category. For example, if a company maintains twelve Service Technician positions with one vacancy, the organizational chart should reflect this as "Service Technician – X 12, 1 vacancy." This approach streamlines submission requirements while ensuring transparency regarding staffing levels and capacity to perform contracted services.

ATTACHMENT B1
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – DESIGN BUILD SERVICE
ORGANIZATIONAL CHART
Please thoroughly read the following instructions and notices before completing this attachment. Interested vendors must ask any questions related to this attachment prior to the deadline identified in this RFP.
Instructions & Notices
The Respondent must provide an organizational chart for the business in a portable document format (.pdf).
If the business entity includes multiple offices/units across several regions/states/countries, the Respondent only needs to submit (an) organizational chart(s) for the office(s)/unit(s) that may provide services under this contract.
For example, 123 CONSTRUCTION Services solely operates in the State of Michigan. 123 CONSTRUCTION Services has offices in Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Traverse City. However, 123 CONSTRUCTION Services only expects staff from the Detroit office to provide services under this contract. So, 123 CONSTRUCTION Services will only need to provide an organizational chart for the Detroit Office.
The Respondent must clearly indicate those positions (if any) in the organizational chart that are vacant/unstaffed.
If a Respondent has multiple positions of the same job title in the organizational tree, the Respondent is NOT required to list all the staff persons under that title. The Respondent may simply list the job/position title and the number of positions under that title. However, the Respondent must indicate the number of vacant positions under that title.
For example, 123 CONSTRUCTION Services has four Supervisory Technicians who each manage three Service Technicians and their Apprentices. One Service Technician position is vacant and two Apprentice positions are vacant. Therefore, 123 CONSTRUCTION Services may present that portion of their organizational chart as follows:
Supervisory Technician – X 4
Service Technician – X 12, 1 vacancy
Apprentice – X 12, 2 vacancies
