About this file
This file contains General Prevailing Wage Determinations issued by the California Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code sections 1770, 1773, and 1773.1, covering multiple trades for commercial building, highway, heavy construction, and dredging projects throughout California. The determinations cover the following crafts: Boilermaker-Blacksmith (effective February 22, 2026, expiring September 30, 2026), Iron Worker (effective February 22, 2026, expiring May 31, 2026), Electrical Utility Lineman (multiple determinations with varying expiration dates ranging from May 31, 2026 to January 31, 2027), Telecommunications Technician (effective February 22, 2026, expiring April 4, 2026), Stator Rewinder (effective February 22, 2026, expiring March 31, 2026), Driver for On/Off-Hauling to/from Construction Sites (multiple determinations with expiration dates in March 2026 and 2021), and Metal Roofing Systems Installer (multiple determinations with expiration dates ranging from March 31, 2026 to July 31, 2026). The determinations apply to all localities within the State of California, with specific area designations varying by craft and trade.
The prevailing wage rates are presented by classification and journeyperson level, detailing basic hourly rates, health and welfare contributions, pension payments, vacation and holiday pay, training contributions, and other employer payments. Total hourly rates, daily overtime rates (generally at 1.5x multiplier for the first set of overtime hours), Saturday overtime rates, and Sunday/holiday overtime rates (generally at 2x multiplier) are specified for each classification. Rates vary significantly by geographic area within California and by experience level for certain positions, such as Electrical Utility Lineman positions with progression increases after specified years of service. Travel and subsistence payment requirements are mandated in accordance with Labor Code sections 1773.1 and 1773.9, with contractors required to obtain specific provisions from the Director's General Prevailing Wage Determinations Website or by contacting the Office of the Director—Research Unit at (415) 703-4774. Apprentice wage rates are available on the Prevailing Wage Apprentice Determinations Website for trades designated as apprenticeable crafts.
