About this file
This file is a 2020 English-language parent survey instrument developed for the South Carolina Department of Education to gather feedback from parents of students in selected grades. The survey is designed to assess parent satisfaction and engagement across multiple dimensions of their child's school experience, including learning environment, social and physical environment, home-school relations, and barriers to parental involvement. The instrument contains approximately 50 items organized into four main sections, with response options ranging from "Strongly Agree" to "Strongly Disagree," as well as demographic questions about the child and parent. The survey requests information on student grade level (grades 3-11), student and parent gender, race/ethnicity, household income, educational attainment, student grades, and bullying incidents. No specific contract timeline, response dates, or award information is provided in this document.
The survey includes detailed marking instructions requiring respondents to use a No. 2 pencil and make solid marks to fill circles completely. Respondents are instructed not to write their names or addresses on the survey, ensuring anonymity. The survey results will be provided to schools in summary form to support school improvement initiatives. This appears to be a survey administration document rather than a procurement specification, and contains no pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractor details, or funding source specifications. The document is identified as EliteView EM-294652-2:654321 ED06 and references both English and Spanish versions in the related contract opportunity title.
