The technical specification provides detailed minimum requirements for printer furniture including laminated wood surfaces, cold rolled sheet metal structures, epoxy powder coating, and compliance with NEMA and NTC quality standards.

The related federal contract opportunity is a sources sought notice issued by the Department of State's Office of Acquisition Management to furnish printer furniture and equipment for rural courthouses in Colombia. Responses are requested by February 28, 2024 to provide company and small business program information, details on warranty and delivery timelines, and past performance examples. 1.3 Minimum specifica ons

1.3.1 Surface

Supply and installation of 2-door metal filing cabinet 0.90 m long x 0.50 m wide x 0.65 m high with a reinforced internal metal shelf.

Surfaces shall ensure abrasion resistance of 6000 cycles.

Scraps or parts glued or assembled on the inside will not be accepted, this shall be a single piece for each surface The work surface should be completely smooth and horizontal.

The work surface should not have any curvature or warping The surfaces will be made of 30 mm high-pressure laminated wood (NEMA standard), plated on the top in Formica F-8 high-pressure laminate, on the bottom will have F-8 Balance-Backer.

Perimeter with 2mm thick thermo cast rigid edge. Similar color to the work surface.

All edges must be coated with flat edges thermo cast in high-pressure polymer, firmly and industrially adhered with hot melt glue.

It is important to note that both for the type of wood and for the coating indicated above, it must be carried out by industrial process and manufacture; that is, manufactured with machinery that guarantees their compaction both in terms of the pressure exerted on the layers and in the duration of compaction, etc.

Important: The high-pressure laminate type wood used shall be Moisture Resistant. (RH)

1.3.2 Structure

If welding is necessary, MIG or similar should be used.

The structure of the polyhedron, door structure and shelves must be metallic.

It is structured in 18 gauge cold rolled sheet nail type, 3 sides and on the front part it will have two doors with sheet metal or handle on each door.

The structure of the sides and back cover in 18-gauge cold roll foil The structure of the door is made of cold rolled sheet - 18 gauge and will have a cylindrical mortise sheet.

The internal structure is made up of 1 (one) shelf, in reinforced 18 gauge cold rolled sheet.

14 gauge cold rolled stands with die-cut nail attachment.

The elements connecting the structure and surface must ensure that the whole is consolidated and that it behaves monolithically.

The structure shall be completely independent of surfaces, must not be solidary with each other and must not depend on their stability.

1.3.3 Paint

Absolutely all visible or non-visible (cold rolled) metal parts shall be coated with Epoxy – Polyester powder-bakable powder powder coating.

The thickness of the paint will be 70-90 microns.
