About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for Salt Lake City Corporation's Request for Bid SLCI26097 regarding Industrial Water Pump Repair & Replacement Services. The project requires bidders to provide comprehensive labor, materials, tools, and supervision for inspecting, repairing, or replacing industrial water pump systems across various makes and models, including potable water pumps, vertical turbines, submersible pumps in wells, centrifugal pumps, and horizontal split-case pumps. The scope of work encompasses site assessment and inspection to identify failure causes and document system conditions; pump isolation and removal including lockout/tagout procedures, system depressurization, and well cleaning; repair services including disassembly, component inspection, parts replacement, and shop testing with in-house machine shop capabilities for shaft repair, bearing machining, impeller balancing, and custom fabrication; new pump installation and supply from specified manufacturers including Aurora, Fairbanks Morse, and Goulds pumps; piping and electrical reconnections with necessary modifications; comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures; and cleanup and documentation deliverables including repair reports, test results, and warranty documentation.

Bidders must comply with OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, implement lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment throughout all work. The scope explicitly excludes structural modifications, major electrical upgrades beyond pump connections, system redesigns unless specified, and permit acquisition unless otherwise stated. Acceptance criteria require that repaired or replaced pumps operate within specified flow and pressure ranges, demonstrate no abnormal vibrations, leaks, or noise, and pass final inspection and testing procedures. The document does not specify contract term, pricing structure, renewal options, response dates, or award information within the scope of work itself.
