About this file
This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement from the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office. It outlines a request for an emergency extension to a contract with Presidio for hardware, support, and maintenance related to the State's enterprise VoIP solution. The VoIP system supports over 30,000 phones, 280 video conferencing systems, and multiple emergency and non-emergency call centers with 2,300 agents providing critical public safety services. The Department of Innovation and Technology has an active RFP process underway to establish a new long-term contract, but requires this one-year emergency extension to Presidio's existing contract to maintain continuity of service while the RFP is completed.
The emergency extension is estimated to cost $14 million over the 12-month term from August 2021 through July 2022. The funding will come from state appropriated funds. This extension is necessary to avoid a lapse in the critical VoIP services that support the State's public safety operations while the new long-term contract is being procured.
