Upon award, the contractor must enter into a written contract and furnish a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum within ten (10) consecutive calendar days of written notice of award. The surety bond guarantees faithful performance of all contract terms, timely payment to all claimants, indemnification of the City, and a two-year warranty period from final written acceptance covering all defects in work, materials, and equipment. The project is funded through local sources with no Federal funds involved, therefore Federal provisions do not apply.
