The Compact BWTS shall be able to treat ballast water at a flow rate of 200-300 cubic meters per hour (m3/hr). The Standard BWTS shall be able to treat ballast water at a flow rate of 800-1,000 m3/hr.
1.2 Introduction
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), in support of the Naval Sea Systems Command (SEA 05P), is tasked to procure and demonstrate BWTSs for potential use on Navy surface vessels. The design of the BWTS shall be based on existing design(s) of a US Coast Guard (USCG) Type Approved BWTS. The project shall be accomplished over a period of five years, through three phases as described in Section 3 of this Statement of Work (SOW). The Government shall issue Task Orders (TOs) detailing all required work. The Government’s intent is to order work in accordance with the following schedule.
