Vendor Q&A

Date ReceivedDate C/633 RespondedVendor InquiriesNSWCCD Response
10/18/1810/22/18I looked at the documents and have a question related to the Excel sheet (Attachment 4: Navy BWTS Conformance Checklist).

This checklist seems to be intended for manufacturers of BWMS, while engineering companies like ours would typically not be involved in those areas that are: 1) fixed by type approval; and 2) related directly to a chosen BWMS that will be engineered onboard the vessels.

Are you asking to fill out that sheet as an engineering company or this is not required from us?

The RFI is intended for Engineering firms and BWTS manufacturers to meet Government's needs for obtaining both the services and supplies. While the Government does not have preference pertaining to contractor teaming arrangements, vendors are permitted to present a team approach in providing a response. Complete response to the RFI shall consist of the market research Questionnaire and BWTS Conformance Checklist. Partial response to the RFI will not be considered.
11/16/1811/19/18We deliver BWT systems but we do not offer engineering and design services. This is something typically done by third party services firms. I am wondering if you still want us to answer your survey. The answer is the same as stated above: "The RFI is intended for Engineering firms and BWTS manufacturers to meet Government's needs for obtaining both the services and supplies. While the Government does not have preference pertaining to contractor teaming arrangements, vendors are permitted to present a team approach in providing a response. Complete response to the RFI shall consist of the market research Questionnaire and BWTS Conformance Checklist. Partial response to the RFI will not be considered."
