4. Q: Coverages referenced in pages 11-17
a. “100% coverage” is referenced many times. Does your definition of 100% coverage mean that an enrolled member would incur $0 costs out of their own pocket for those referenced procedures? Or that it will still cost them money, but is a covered procedure?
A: “Reimbursement Rate – 100% Coverage” means that there will be no cost to the employee. This provision indicates that employees will either not be required to make any payment at the treatment facility or, if a payment is made, the full amount will be reimbursed to the employee upon submission of the invoice to the insurance company.
In cases where “Reimbursement Rate – 80% Minimum Coverage” is stated, 80% of the total cost of the procedure will be covered by the insurance, and the employee or their dependents will be responsible for paying the remaining 20%.
b. Deductible and coinsurance is industry standard.
A: The insurance provided by the successful contractor shall cover all benefits as required in the RFP. The requirements / coverage amounts and percentages set forth in the statement of work are mandatory and shall not be changed by the contractor. The technical proposal shall demonstrate that the offeror understands the requirement listed in Section I of the solicitation, and shall set forth current, accurate, and complete information as required by this solicitation.
